2. Plan for tomorrow
As an avid planner, I believe a productive day begins the night before. Simply jot down your top three must-do tasks to create momentum for the next day and establish clear priorities.
3. Disconnect
Imagine trying to assemble a puzzle in a windstorm. That is essentially what you are doing when you are swiping social media and watching Instagram Reels before bed. Turn off your phone, get off the computer, and give yourself a chance to complete that puzzle.
4. Read
My favorite way to slow my mind down at night is reading a book (or in my case, a Kindle). It can be a big adjustment at first, but its one of the best habits you can build and you won’t regret investing time in this ritual. Plus, you may just find yourself excited to go to bed…
5. Breathe
Did you know you take 20,000 breaths a day? How many of those do you actually pay attention to? Try the 4-7-8 Technique. Breath in through your nose for 4 seconds, hold for 7 seconds, and then slowly exhale for 8 seconds.
